School Year

Sat Sep 12, 2009, 4:01 PM
So, the school year finally started and it's off to a fairly good start.
I'm taking 3 AP classes :giggle:this year and two English classes 1st semester:(. 2nd semester the English classes change to ART!!!:D I'm taking Drawing and Design, and Studio art. So i'm pretty excited. I applied to western because they have an AWESOME:floating: aeronautical program that i want to do, but i'm not really sure where else to apply.
I took the ACT today so i'm hoping I did alot better then last time... cuz i kinda failed... well I did about Average and you can't get Scholarships with Average so my mom is kinda Killing me to do better.
She is also like Scholarship Crazy it really scares me cuz i feel like she's going to bite my head off. Most of the time it makes me want to cry cuz i never feel like i'm doing good enough for her.... :cries:
Ah well, Band is going well and Guard is finally working on the Adventure show. so that's going to be exciting. Drama this year is Robin Hood. :D
Speaking of Robin Hood, THat's the Theme of Renaissance Festival this year. I'm working there on the weekends it's really fun cuz you dress up and stuffs. Idk it's exciting.

Summer

Wed Jul 15, 2009, 8:51 PM
This summer has been the busiest summer i have ever had.
there is the usual things like helping out at Safety town, and color guard practices, but in addition to that there is Flute lessons(this means i actually have to practice over the summer^^;),test out stuff, and ACT things.

Safety town is always adorable because it's a bunch of five-year-olds getting together to learn stranger danger and things like that. but I've been doing extra with it by building and re-painting the buildings for the miniature town that we put up for the children. That has taken a good many hours that i still have to do to complete it.

Color guard is a bit different this year. We have a new instructor, our original one, or the one that I've had for the past three years was Emma. She was absolutely fantastic! We all loved her dearly and she loved us back just as much, we enjoyed all of the practices we had and couldn't have been happier when we took first place in our competition with her routine. However all good things must come to an end... Emma got a job at a college in like Kalamazoo or something.... idk, but she's too far away and to busy to coach us anymore. This year we have a new instructor. her name's Kristen and she's making many changes that we are not used to. We are changing to six foot poles instead of our five and a half foot ones that we normally use, and have used for like ever. She has also turned guard practice into a less fun activity, due to the Nazi esque-ness of it, with the repetition of basics and all. So to say we're all trying to make the best of it is true but we're unsure as to how it will go on.

Flute lessons are interesting because i go to the basement of my band director....
AWKWARD, but it isn't soo bad because Megan, my best friend, goes with me. We have like back to back lessons. so i go for a thirty minute flute lesson, and the Megan goes for a thirty minute bassoon lesson. it's quite fun gazing at the assortment of instruments he has in his basement.... it's weird, he even has a full timpani set down there. well that's once a week and takes up some more time...

Test out and summer reading, one more year, so i have to test out of Health. it's a ton of busy work and i hate to do it but i have to because i'll dread the class even more. Summer reading is for AP Euro and well that's gunna be fun, not! the book it about the middle ages and it's dull history, wow who'd a guess history, like reading dry history???
oh well enough of that.

ACT, is the bain of my existence, i hate standardized testing with a passion for my grades and my ACT score have nothing in common. my 3.8 is much higher then the score for my ACT... that being only average or so... AHHH how scholarship money is needed to go to school...

or i could just join the military????

the other stuff is senior things Like pictures and clothes shopping. ahhh how i hate clothes shopping

oh well i still have some time and i may take some pictures if time permits, thanks for your patients... i'm way to busy for my own good...

New Da set up

Sat Jan 24, 2009, 5:46 PM
it's kinda weird... but i think i'll get used to it...

Well today i had a horrible day
so i've got 3 A's 1 A- and 2 B+'s and my mom flips out on me
and berates me for like half an hour about how i should do better in school.

i end up crying for like 2 hours cuz i'm wierd like that and take critisim to seriously.
but that's not the real problem. the problem is my mom is unable to be satisfied. i try really hard and no matter what i do nothing seems to make her happy. She honestly sucks the souls of people. It's horrible. i honestly don't think she relizes how much it herts me when she yells at me.

oh well. there is nothing i can do about it. i just have to learn to deal with the fact that i'm never going to be able to make her happy cuz it's imposible. she's just not a happy person.

The funny thing is, that if i was home and studied all the time and got all a's i'd still be yelled at, because i wouldn't get out enough, my social life would be lacking to much for her liking.

also when she was in school, in some of her classes she was only able to get c's and stuff and here she is yelling at me cuz i have a b+, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black a bit...

well sorry for the rant... but it's true and well my day kinda sucked cuz my mom is ridiculous.

well tootles and i hope your day was better then mine
